From Burnout to Balance: My Journey to Becoming a Health Coach
Stuck in
Survival Mode
For years, I was the definition of a high-achieving, ambitious woman. I was focused on building a successful career, proving my worth, and juggling the demands of being a single mum of two. I was constantly switched on - striving, achieving, and pushing forward.
But behind the scenes, I was living in chronic survival mode.
Stress, anxiety, and exhaustion became my norm. I struggled with insomnia, weight gain, brain fog, and a constant sense of overwhelm. I was trying to be everything to everyone - except myself.
Looking back, I wasn’t living. I was just coping. And I couldn’t imagine what life could look like beyond the chaos.


A Turning Point in My Health Journey
In May 2023, everything stopped. I was diagnosed with breast cancer - and in that moment, my priorities changed forever.
Before treatment even began, I made a powerful decision: to start rebuilding my health from the inside out.
I focused on small, sustainable changes across five key areas that I now call the Five Elements of Self-Connection:
Move. Nourish. Reset. Define. Belong.
This was the start of a full mind-body reset. The weight began to shift, my sleep improved, the brain fog lifted, and I felt connected again - to my body, my energy, and my life.
I began eating better. I reconnected socially. I discovered new activities that sparked joy and gave me purpose. Most importantly, I learned how to prioritise myself without guilt.
Those changes weren’t just physical. They were transformational. I became the woman I’d always wanted to be - strong, grounded, present - not only for my daughters, but for myself.
 
That journey changed everything. It gave me the clarity that true wellbeing doesn’t come from quick fixes or one-size-fits-all plans. It comes from understanding your story, your needs, and what really works for you.
I knew I had to help others experience the same freedom.
That’s why I trained as a certified Health Coach with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM).
Now, I combine personal experience, evidence-based tools, and a holistic, personalised approach to support people who feel just like I once did - stuck, depleted, and ready for a reset.





As a CNM-trained Health Coach, I take a whole-person, lifestyle medicine approach. That means I don’t just look at your symptoms - I work with you to understand your full picture: your habits, challenges, priorities, and goals.

• Stress, anxiety, or poor sleep
• Emotional eating or weight gain

I’m also currently training as an ADHD and neurodiversity coach, so I can offer more targeted support to individuals navigating life with unique challenges.
